Get the kids baking this Red Nose Day!!

Jam Splodge Biscuits

  • 150g butter

  • 100g sugar

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 200g plain flour

  • Pinch of salt (if using unsalted butter)

  • Strawberry or raspberry jam

  1. Before you start was your hands and put on an apron, ask your grown up helper to preheat the oven to 180c

  2. Put the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl and beat until creamy & fluffy (use your hands if it's easier)

  3. Then add the vanilla extract and flour and mix together using your hands to form it into a big ball

  4. On a floured surface roll out the dough and stamp out your biscuits.

  5. Put them onto a baking tray & use your thumb to make an indent in the middle of each biscuit and put a teaspoon of jam in it.

  6. Ask your grown up helper to put them in the oven for about 10-12 minutes until golden. Leave to cool slightly then put them on a wire rack.
